All About Dogs

You might not be aware of it but to own a dog means to be responsible for its care, and the more you provide this care the more benefit you get. Looking for a good dog companion will depend on the individual. Every person is unique and has different needs and desire. The same can be said for every breed that is out there. Where these different breeds came from cannot be fully know but we can read many stories about where they came about, but they were all bred with a purpose and these purposes have been used all over the world. Dogs can be used for working or helping man to do certain tasks and they can also be had as a companion or treated as a pet.

When dogs do their function, they act as either an ally or a companion in work, and the other is a social companion. Dogs can be relied upon as a companion and because of this they are said to enter with a relationship with their human where there is a give and take connection. This bond however is the reason why an owner can gain a lot of benefits. When an owner has a bond with his dog, it benefits him from being able to develop his being in charge over the relationship. And when you are in-charge, you are responsible for its well-being. When it is hungry, you feed it. When it want to relieve, you bring it out. When your dog becomes restless, you exercise and play with him. You bring him to the vet when he is experiencing health issues. In return however, your furry friend gives you back its loyalty, devotion and trust, unlike most human who takes these things as their entitlement. This is no wonder why many dog owners report attachments to their dogs that are as strong as their attachments to their best friends.

There is one area in having a dog companion which is somewhat neglected by many dog owners and that is the area of training their dogs. Dogs are not like humans, they don’t think like us, but what they do is to respond to patterns that we show them and they are very sensitive to these cues that is why most people think that they have cognitive abilities. You should not therefore train a dog like you would train a child.

A trained dog gives his owner a lot of benefits. A dog’s life can be saved if he is trained. In order to have voice control over your dog, you should spend time working with them with commands. A dog’s life can be spared by the ability of the owner to get the dog back with voice commands. Bringing a dog trained in manners is a delight and there will be no occasion for embarrassment or injury. With training an owner can understand his dog better.
